Gavin is a Location Sound Recordist and Drone Pilot based in Perth, Western Australia, with over a decade of experience in the Film and Television industry.

He specialises in recording and mixing on feature film and television drama, and works across high end commercials, documentaries, corporate content and online media. His work has featured on international networks including BBC, Channel 4 and Discovery Channel, as well as Australian broadcasters like Channel 7, Channel 9, Channel 10, SBS and ABC.

Recent projects he has mixed sound on include feature films 'We Bury the Dead', 'Whale Shark Jack', 'The Furnace', and 'H is for Happiness'; television drama including 'Mystery Road: Origin' Season 2, 'The Heights' Season 2 and ‘Itch’ Season 2, and TV documentary series 'Bill Bailey's Vietnam', 'Bill Bailey's Australian Adventure', 'New Leash on Life', 'Border Security', and  'Aussie Gold Hunters' for Discovery.​

 

Gavin is known for his calm, professional approach on set and a strong passion for capturing great sound. He brings a full range of industry-standard equipment to every job, including Sound Devices mixers/recorders, Lectrosonics wireless systems and Schoeps, Sanken and DPA microphones. He also operates a fully equipped sound van and drama cart for larger productions.
